| Social interactions has the most impact on my creative work. I have found that most of my ideas and productivity happened while I was talking to other people. These included my group members, parents, teachers, and anyone else I may have discussed the project with. Before this intensive, I had the mindset that creativity was an individual process that was best accomplished by myself without any distractions. I didn't really understand the concept of 'participatory creativity,' but was very interested in what it might mean, and how it was related to the creative process. When we first started working in our project groups and brainstorming what our project might be, I was still of that mindset. I did not know that creativity could be more productive as a collaborative process. Looking back now, I am realizing that working in a group really helped open up my mind to other ideas. Listening and hearing other peoples thoughts and ideas helped me to notice that being in a group diverse in skill sets and experiences really helps me to think bigger than how I normally think. When I was thinking the most creatively, it was during my group's craziest brainstorming sessions. For example, when we were given the assignment to make a 'ridiculous product,' or to come up with any ideas excluding our primary idea. | Type here... |
