Mikhail Stiffler Individual Reflection

WHAT HAD THE GREATEST IMPACT TO ME?
I, without a doubt, believe that the environment in which I did my learning had the greatest impact on the way I learned. First of all the chorus room was completely new to me coming into this intensive. I like how bright and airy it is. This brings a sense of innovation to the room which helps me think in different and unique ways everyday. I also found that I was even more productive and helpful to my teammates during walks or lunch. I think this is because I find myself being more creative when I have a task in front of me other than just coming up with ideas. however, under the conditions category I find myself struggling with deadlines. I always found myself stressing over minute and inconsequential deadlines. This negatively impacted my creativity throughout the intensive so far. Having said this I have gotten increasingly better managing stress connected to deadlines. One other way a condition effected my creativity was my sickness. I was sick and Thursday and Friday and could feel the effect it had one my mind. My ideas during my sickness were of a lower quality and quantity than usual. Moving forward I am now healthy and ready for Boston, and looking forward to the new surroundings it will bring.
